I stumbled upon your site by chance while going through coolhompages.com looking for design ideas. I am starting out as a web-designer, well trying at least. Once I had browsed through your portfolio I started reading your blog specifically the item on replacements for windows software and I realised that the list you have compiled is pretty comprehensive and well thought out for someone wishing to use a computer for web design and such but cant afford the costlier mainstream options. I would like to commend you on the great job with this list and also on the tips to handling clients. It makes a lot of sense to me who is just starting out in this field.
